First 🥇 Day at School

Swati is very excited today. She is going to class 1St . Tomorrow will be her first day in the new class. 

Mother and Swati go to the market. Swati buys a purple school bag and a pair of shiny, black shoes. She also buys a box of pencils, glue and crayons.

Swati is very happy. She walks back home with Mother. The next day, Swati is scared to go to school.

Mother asks Swati, ‘What is the matter? Swati says, ‘I don’t know anyone in the new class.

Mother smiles. She says, ‘You will make lots of new friends and learn many new things.” But Swati is still sad.

Mother says, ‘When you get to school, try to help someone. You will then feel happy, and you will have a new friend.”

Swati enters the classroom. She looks around and finds a girl sitting alone. Swati goes to her and says, ‘Hello. My name is Swati. What is your name?’

The girl smiles. She says. ‘My name is Ajita.’ Swati asks, ‘Can we be friends?” They shake hands. She also makes friends with others in the class..

Now, Swati loves going to school. She loves her teachers. She loves her friends. She loves to learn new things!
